participates in several fundraisers each year. If you would like
to sponsor, co-sponsor, or otherwise participate in one of our
fundraisers--or one for another GWRRA chapter--please watch our Calendar
for rallies, picnics, raffles and poker runs for details and
contact information.
We are also happy to participate in your fundraisers, so please
contact us if we can be of any assistance with yours, including
posting them on our calendar, in our newsletter, or on this
page.
Christmas
for the Veterans at McGuire’s 2009
Jennifer Knight of VA Chapter
W-Chester is coordinating the collection of gift bags for the
residents at McGuire Veterans Hospital and the adjacent nursing home.
A note from Jennifer:
I have teamed up with the DAV Women's Auxilliary to provide Christmas for the veterans at McGuire's Hospital.
I am asking for help in supplying our veterans with some of the basic items they need and a few items that would put a smile on their face. What money they do get goes for their care and there is not much left for the basics.
These men and women of the armed forces deserve our support and the smile on their faces when they receive something from people they do not know is
indescribable. Please consider this request. All contributions will be greatly appreciated.
