Officers Certification Program (OCP) Training
Richmond, Virginia
July 31-August 1, 2010

WOW! Thirty-three participants took the OCP here in Richmond, the largest Virginia class to date. Represented were 10 Virginia Chapters and one from North Carolina:

We enjoyed exceptionally fine instruction from our Trainers--Rick and Elsie Baker, Mike Mitchell, and Pam and Tommy Meador--and had a heck of a fun time, too, throughout the day-and-a-half-long course.

And a surprise drop-in by none other than our Virginia District Director, Pat Hasiak, to congratulate all the course graduates and to swear in new Assistant Chapter Directors Bobby and Barbara Palmer for Chapter K-Roanoke, and Chapter Director Gordon Combs for Chapter E-Fredericksburg. Thanks, Pat, and Congratulations! to Bobby, Barbara and Gordon!

A huge thank you, once again, to the Ashcake Volunteer Rescue Squad for permitting GWRRA to use its facility for this training. Half our 50:50 proceeds were donated to the Rescue Squad for its continuing support of GWRRA and its mission.
